Viet Nam a "hotspot" for zoonotic diseases

Viet Nam is one of the countries identified as a "hotspot"for zoonotic emerging infectious diseases, including those with pandemic potential. Zoonotic diseases are communicable diseases that originate in vertebrate animals, but can infect humans, and, sometimes result in transmission among humans. Zoonoses cover a broad range of diseases, with different clinical and epidemiological features and control measures.
