Meeting on the Revision of Guidelines for Clinical Research on Acupuncture
Place: Seoul, Republic of Korea
Date: 24 Aug, 2005 - 26 Aug, 2005
In 1995, the Regional Office published the Guidelines for Clinical Research on Acupuncture, which was a product of a Working Group Meeting on Clinical Research Methodology, held in Aomori, Japan in June 1994. In compliance with these scientific approaches, the Regional Office organized two serial meetings titled "Consultation on Traditional and Modern Medicine: Harmonizing the Two Approaches" which have been strengthening the consensus for evidence-based researches in traditional medicine. Since its publication, there have been a lot of significant developments in clinical research on acupuncture. A Working Group meeting on the revision of the guidelines will provide a venue to discuss the significant changes which would have an impact on the guidelines, and to update the revised guidelines by reflecting necessary changes.
