Second Consultation Meeting on Traditional and Modern Medicine: Harmonizing the Two Approaches

The objectives of the meeting were:
- discuss and analyze the methodology and the progress on evaluating the efficacy and safety of traditional medicine through a review of existing literature in China, Japan, the Republic of Korea and other countries;
- identify research requirements and methodologies on priorities for better understanding and value of traditional medicine;
- discuss effective approaches for improving research capacities in the field of traditional medicine; and
- discuss the establishment of a scientific work on traditional medicines for further collaboration.
