The objectives of the workshop were:
- to review the current situation of traditional medicine education at the university level;
- to identify challenges for improving the quality of traditional medicine education at the university level;
- to discuss the relevance and applicability of WHO Guidelines for Quality Assurance of Basic Medical Education in the Western Pacific Region for traditional medicine education at the university level; and
- make recommendations on improving the quality of traditional medicine education.
