Mental health is an integral part of your health and well-being. One in four people will suffer from mental, neurological or substance use disorder in their lifetime. It is a burden to the person, the family and the society. Persons with mental illness often suffer from stigma and discrimination, in addition to their illness.

There is a growing need for mental health services in the Pacific island countries. Although most countries have increased their mental health service capacity in recent years, the infrastructure or the human resources are not enough to address mental health adequately.
