  • Diarrhoea: French Polynesia

Acute Fever and Rash:

  • Kiribati: Alert generated from Early Warning Alerts and Response System (EWARS) verified by Kiribati surveillance officer as suspected dengue and chikungunya cases. Increase in the number of cases have been noted since 24 May 2017. Samples have been sent to the Institute of Environmental Science and Research, New Zealand for confirmatory testing, results are pending.

Dengue

  • New Caledonia: As of 7 June 2017, there have been 4,078 cases since 1 September 2016. Dengue serotype 1, 2 and 3 are in circulation. There have been 10 deaths reported. The weekly number of cases is decreasing. Source: Department of Health & Social Affairs, New Caledonia
