TFI in WHO's Western Pacific Region works through WHO country offices in close partnership with governments, non-government organizations and many other partners to achieve objectives that have been laid out in five-year action plans [RAPs 2000-2004, 2005-2009, and 2010-2014] and collaborates with TFI headquarters and other WHO regions to plan and implement activities in support of the WHO FCTC, surveillance and monitoring, research and policy development, training and capacity building, and communications and media.
