Reduce Risk, Protect Health Facilities, Save Lives!

Hospitals Safe from Disasters Campaign aims to raise awareness and effect change that will ensure structural and functional resilience of health facilities during and in the aftermath of disasters and emergencies, protecting the lives of patients and health workers.

In response to the Global Campaign on Hospitals Safe from Disasters, the World Health Organization (WHO), with support from the European Commission Humanitarian Aid department (ECHO), implemented a series of activities aimed at reducing disaster risks through safer health facilities. Target countries included Cambodia, Lao PDR, the Philippines, and Viet Nam.
