TUBERCULOSIS AND HIV: A framework to address TB/HIV co-infection in the Western Pacific Region
Summary
The TB/HIV co-infection has resulted in increasing TB rates in several countries in the Region. In order to address this problem, a special Regional strategic framework for TB/HIV has been developed. This framework responds to the specific needs of TB and HIV/AIDS programmes in countries in the Region, where the nature and magnitude of the TB/HIV epidemic is different from that in Sub-Saharan Africa
