Western Pacific Country Health Information Profiles 2008 Revision

The 2008 edition of Western Pacific Country Health Information Profiles (CHIPS) is a resource tool on demographic, political and socioeconomic conditions, health situation and trends, and health systems of countries and areas under the WHO Western Pacific Region. Information is presented in country profiles and health databanks that are supplied either by the respective health ministries or compiled from national databases and reference libraries. CHIPS also contains a statistical annex that summarizes most information in the health databanks plus other indicators on health conditions and practices, such as HIV and obesity, smoking and drinking behaviour, human rights, poverty, gender-related development, and major emergencies in the Region over the last two years.
