Climate change

Global records since the 1960s show that rising air and ocean temperatures, increased drought, rising sea levels and changes in rainfall and extreme weather events have occurred. Climate change (CC) is widely accepted as an ongoing reality, and will have a number of impacts on many aspects of human activity.

Effects on human health are likely to include the direct impacts of extreme weather events; a lack of clean water; impaired nutrition due to low food security; and increased incidence of infectious diseases including vectorborne diseases (VBDs).
