From the Bohol Provincial Health Office, the vaccines were sent in large vaccine transport boxes filled with ice packs to rural health units. Each transport box contains about 15 ice packs and can maintain adequate vaccine storage temperature for 24 to 48 hours. Health workers frequently refer to these ice packs as “cold dogs”.
