Health services in Bohol were damaged by the October earthquake and further affected by the November typhoon that severed the island’s power supply. This interrupted the cold chain, which is critical to keeping vaccines at the right temperature. The reestablishment of the cold chain was of great concern, 25 cases of suspected measles were reported within two months succeeding the earthquake.
