Providing mental health and psychosocial support in typhoon affected areas

WHO/ F. Guerrero

Assessing local mental health resources, whether they are helpful or harmful, and developing services to the extent to which affected people can access them is an important part of rebuilding services back better. WHO continues to work with and support the Department of Health, Local Government Units, and other health partners to build local capacities, support self help and strengthen resources in the areas hardest hit by typhoon Haiyan (Yolanda).
