DOH policy on revitalizing mother-baby friendly hospitals to promote and protect breastfeeding
The Department of Health issued Administrative Order No. 2007-0026 to guide health workers in revitalizing and sustaining mother-baby friendly hospitals, so as to promote and support breastfeeding. The main objective of the policy is to transform all health facilities with maternity and newborn services into facilities that fully protect, promote, and support rooming-in, breastfeeding and mother-baby friendly practices.
