Stroke and cerebrovascular accidents

Nowadays, stroke is becoming the second leading cause of deaths and the main cause of disabilities of cardiovascular diseases in the world. Through the researches conducted within the UB community during the last 20 years, the number of stroke incidences and deaths caused by stroke is constantly growing (the stroke cases were 0.72 in 1000 people in 1978 however the number is grown to 2.96 in 1998) [Baasanjav 2011]. In 2008, the WHO registered Mongolia as a country that is with high prevalence of stroke.
