Infection prevention and control measures aim to ensure the protection of those who might be vulnerable to acquiring an infection both in the general community and while receiving care due to health problems, in a range of settings.
In Mongolia, country developed Infection prevention and control strategy (2012-2016). The State Secretary chairs National Infection Prevention and Control Committee (IPC) in Ministry of Health. All health facilities also formed IPC committee and designated a focal point for IPC in their facilities. National Resource Centre of IPC in National Centre for Communicable Diseases services as Secretariat to the National Infection Prevention and Control Committee. The National Resource Centre also services as training harbour for IPC, quality control and quality insurance and surveillance.
