WHO Mongolia Country Staff conduct the end of year staff Retreat
On 18-19 December, 2012 – Ulaanbaatar – The Country staff of Mongolia conducted a two days staff retreat under the leadership of their new WR Dr Soe Nyunt-U with following objectives:
- To brief new WR on country programmes and special projects funded by donors.
- To review and discuss mid-biennium progress on country programme implementation in preparation for the mid-biennium report.
- To discuss the process and contents of the WHO country workplan development for 2014-2015 biennium
- To further build country team with an exercise and brain storm on proposed project on Strengthening Health Systems development at sub-national Level( selected district in Ulaanbaatar city and an aimag)
The retreated proceeded very useful since the staff were able to discuss about important events of 2012 and also agreed on a process to develop the 2014-2015 biennium work plan.
One of highlights of the Retreat was to discuss and develop a proposal on Regional Director's Initiative to focus on sub-national Health Systems Strengthening. A draft proposal was agreed upon and will be submitted for funding to possible donors.
