Preventing disease outbreaks after the tsunami in Solomon Islands

Nurses bring supplies to clinic on the island after tsunami, Solomon Islands.

The surveillance system, now operational, picked up an increased number of cases of diarrhoea in one part of the island. Based on this data, these two nurses brought additional supplies – including oral rehydration salts or ORS – to the nearest health clinic.
