Sixty-third session of the Regional Committee

Working together to address health challenges in the Western Pacific

The Regional Committee for the Western Pacific is the World Health Organization's decision-making body in the Western Pacific. Composed of health ministers and other representatives from 37 countries and areas, it meets every year in September or October to review WHO's work in the Region and to plot future directions.

From 24 to 28 September 2012, the sixty-third session of the Regional Committee met in Hanoi, Viet Nam. The delegates took a number of important actions to improve the health of the Region's 1.8 billion people.
