PGH has adopted standing orders to ensure that every newborn child is vaccinated. These orders detail that vaccination take place after a 90-minute bonding period with the mother that includes skin-to-skin contact and breastfeeding initiation. For all health facilities delivering babies, training and updating of antenatal care guidelines should happen to ensure prompt and proper vaccination.
