Expanded programme on immunization

Vaccinate at birth, protect for life

Stop the spread

To stop the spread of the hepatitis B virus, every newborn should be vaccinated. Babies born at home are much harder to get to. But every baby born in a health facility, with access to vaccines and trained medical staff, can be protected from the virus. Surprisingly, not all health facilities have successfully adopted this practice, although some facilities are making it happen. The University of the Philippines - Philippine General Hospital (UP-PGH) in Manila is one such facility.
