The Time Has Come
Enhancing HIV, STI and other sexual health services for MSM and transgender people in Asia and the Pacific
The Time Has Come” online training package aims to enhance the leadership, programming, and service delivery skills and knowledge of programme managers, frontline service managers, and health policy professionals working in sexual health services with men who have sex with men (MSM) and transgender people (TG). MSM and TG populations often face high levels of stigma and discrimination, inhibiting access to services. Coupled with a lack of protective laws, and insufficient health worker skills and knowledge about sexuality and sexual health, access to services for MSM and TG populations is greatly reduced.
We hope this training package will play an important role in responding to the need to address sexual orientation and gender identity in the region’s response to HIV. This free training package is jointly developed by the UNDP Asia-Pacific Regional Centre, the WHO Regional Office for the South-East Asia, and the WHO Regional Office for the Western Pacific.
