HIV intervention in the Philippines: time to take action
Cebu City is experiencing an explosive HIV epidemic, primarily amongst people who inject drugs, but also in other populations. The public health crisis requires an urgent and well-coordinated response. To prevent and control the further spread of HIV and reduce AIDS-related deaths, WHO and its partners have developed a plan for Cebu City. It is based on scientific evidence gleaned from successful strategies applied in other communities. The plan is outlined in this briefing paper.
