Manual on the prevention and control of common cancers
Addressed to health practitioners, the manual aims to increase skills in the screening and early detection of cancer, encourage state-of-the-art treatment and ensure widespread availability of pain relief and palliative care. It also covers several effective preventive strategies, including tobacco control, promotion of healthy diet, infant vaccination aginst hepatitis B, and screening for the early detection of breast and cervical cancer.
