Activities and achievements
WHO collaborates with national counterparts and partners to meet the following objectives:
- To develop, revise, implement and monitor national medicines policies and to improve access to essential medicines;
- To strengthen medicines regulation and quality assurance and to combat counterfeit and substandard drugs; and
- To promote therapeutically effective, safe and cost-effective use of medicines.
