Goals
- To help save lives and improve health by ensuring equitable access to safe, efficacious and quality-assured essential medicines that are appropriately used by providers and consumers.
Objectives
- To ensure the commitment of all stakeholders to national medicines policies on access, availability and affordability of essential medicines;
- To ensure the quality, safety and efficacy of medicines by strengthening and putting into practice medicines regulation and quality assurance systems; and
- To promote therapeutically effective, safe and cost-effective use of medicines by health care providers and consumers.
