Pandemic influenza A(H1N1) emerged in April 2009. On 10 August 2010, WHO declared that the outbreak had moved into the post-pandemic phase.
China was heavily affected by the pandemic. According to the Ministry of Health, as of August 10, 2010, 128,033 laboratory-confirmed cases were reported, including 805 deaths.
