About the HiTs series

HiT reports are produced by a team of country experts. They provide information to support policy-makers and analysts in the development of health systems. The provide detailed information about the organization, financing
 and delivery of health services and describe the institutional framework, process, content and
 implementation of health care reform programmes. Each HiT highlights challenges and areas that require more in-depth analysis and provides a tool for the dissemination of information on health systems. The HiTs series facilitates the exchange of experiences of reform strategies between policy-makers and 
analysts in different countries.

European Observatory on Health Systems and Policies HiTs

The European Observatory HiTs series covers the countries of the WHO European Region as well as some additional OECD countries. Each HiT provides a detailed description of a country’s health system as well as reform and policy initiatives. They are updated on a regular basis. They are all published in English and some reports are also available in another official language, mainly Russian.
